How the year runs

The same calendar every year. Applications are read as they arrive from September; the batch starts on the first of December and ends on the last day of May, no earlier and no later.

  1. 1 September

    Applications open

    Rolling, until the batch fills. Every application is screened.

  2. September to November

    Walk-ins or group discussions, depending on volume

    More than a thousand people apply each year; a few are selected. A batch is 8 to 15, never more than 15.

  3. 1 December

    The batch starts

    On-site in Vadodara, full days, the same week as the team. Each group has assigned mentors.

  4. The first months

    Onboarding and training

    The tools, the codebase, the way the team works. Real client and project work follows on performance, under a senior mentor.

  5. Exam days

    Leave for university exams

    On the mentor's approval, for the exam days themselves. The end date does not move.

  6. 31 May

    The batch ends

    A completion certificate for every intern who completes it, a letter of recommendation for those who earn one, and an offer when an opening exists in the track. Never guaranteed.

Openings depend on what the year needs, so there may be more of these or fewer. When the list changes, this page changes with it. No track has a fixed number of seats.

What you get, and what is asked of you

The internship is unpaid. What it returns is the work, the mentor, the certificate and, for those who earn it, the letter. What it asks is six months of full days in Vadodara.

You get

  • Six months of real work: onboarding and training first, then client and project work as your performance earns it, under a senior mentor.
  • A mentor assigned to your group for the whole term.
  • A completion certificate.
  • A letter of recommendation, for those who earn it.
  • The letters your college needs for training or project credit, on request.
  • A real chance at a role: some interns are offered one when an opening exists in their track. It is never guaranteed.

You bring

  • Your final year: the six months sit inside it, ending by the June after the batch.
  • Full days on-site at the Vadodara office, the same week as the team, from 1 December to 31 May. No remote or hybrid arrangement.
  • A No Objection Certificate from your college.
  • Exam leave planned with your mentor, for the exam days themselves.

Six months, final year, unpaid

Three rules, three reasons, in the order you will meet them. None of them is a preference about paperwork.

  1. Six months, and nothing shorter.

    In a four-to-eight-week internship a student cannot get into real work, and we cannot benefit from what they learn. So we do not run summer or winter internships. One programme a year, no more and no less.

    The dates are fixed and published: 1 December to 31 May, every year.

  2. Final year only.

    It is the one year in which six months of real work can stand in for a classroom project. A student a year earlier cannot leave college for that long.

    The check above tells you which September is yours; your college issues the No Objection Certificate.

  3. Unpaid.

    The six months are the education: senior time and real projects are spent on the intern. A stipend would mean selecting for cost rather than for people worth teaching.

    Stated here, before the form, and again in the questions below, so nobody finds it out afterwards.

Questions about the programme

Each answer states the yearly rule, so it holds whichever year you read it.

How long is the Atyantik internship?
Six months, 1 December to 31 May, every year. There is no shorter or longer option, and Atyantik does not run summer or winter internships of a few weeks.
Who can apply?
Final-year students only, whose final year ends by the June after the batch. The technical tracks take CS and IT programmes: BE or BTech, ME or MTech, BCA, MCA, BSc or MSc in IT or computer science, and a final-year diploma in those fields. The non-technical tracks take the final year of any bachelor's or master's. Anyone who has already graduated applies for open roles through careers.
Is the internship paid?
No. The internship is unpaid. Interns get six months of real work under a senior mentor, a completion certificate, and a letter of recommendation for those who earn it.
When do applications open?
1 September every year, and they stay open until the batch fills.
Where is it, and what are the hours?
On-site at Atyantik's Vadodara office, full days, the same week as the team, for the whole six months. A student from outside Vadodara relocates for the term.
What about my final-year exams and my college's paperwork?
Leave is given for university exam days, with the mentor's approval; the end date does not move. Your college must issue a No Objection Certificate, and Atyantik provides the letters a college needs for training or project credit.
How many people are selected?
More than 1,000 people apply every year. A batch is 8 to 15 interns, never more than 15.
Is there a job at the end?
Sometimes. Some interns are offered roles when an opening exists in their track at the time. It is never guaranteed, and a strong six months is the best interview we know.
